The Scrubs

Scrubs & Masks _________________________24.00

“Scrubbing” is as ancient as the early Egyptians, known for the supreme value they placed on beautiful skin. Scrubbing lends a silky texture and radiance to the skin… It exfoliates dulling dead skin cells and encourages speedier production of new. It  increases circulation and surface blood flow. This promotes native collagen production and allows better nutrient absorption from the outside in and the inside out. Vitally important as well, the stimulating, massaging action of scrubbing enhances the efficiency of our lymphatic system responsible for keeping our blood clean. Clean blood, in turn, feeds the skin (and other organs!) clean food. The ancient Chinese and Auyervedic Medicines still employ scrubbing (and masks) as detoxification and immune-boosting therapy.

1 pound in a light sensitive, resealable, poly-lined, flat-bottom bag (colors may vary)

Indian Cleansing Scrub… Made with finely ground phyto-nutrient rich yellow, blue and white corn meals; finely ground healing desert herbs, including, yucca, chaparral, sage & freeze-dried aloe vera; earth clays and essential oils. Especially purifying to skin. Clearing to the aura. Smells like desert flora.

Sea Scrub… Made with finely ground Celtic & Dead Sea Salts, ground seaweed and essential oils. Purifying, uplifting and intensely invigorating. Smells clean, brisk and delightfully “herbie.”*

Scents

These are dry scrubs (and masks) to which you add your own wetting agents.* They are designed to offer as many possibilities for customization as there are imaginations, to address as many needs as there are people and circumstances. Yet our scrubs/masks are wholly nourishing and satisfying with the simple addition of oil or water, staples of any household. Basic usage and mixing instructions are on the bag along with suggestions for variations which we hope will spur your imagination. Why not create “signature” body treatments of your own?

We suggest keeping a spoon, a plastic bowl and a bottle of your favorite vegetable oil next to your scrubs within reach of your bathing area. If an unexpected mood should arise, you are always prepared. With a little forethought, delicious variations may be concocted. Pureed apricots, papaya or avocados are especially beneficial to the skin, as would be a generous squeeze of lemon. Have fun, be creative and enjoy! The sky’s the limit.
*Note: Our Revitalizing Sea Scrub should be mixed with oil only. Revitalizing Sea Scrub is the only one of our scrubs that should not be used on tender facial area as a scrub or mask.
